What is Block Times - App Control?
 

Block Times - App Control is an iPhone and iPad app designed to help you reduce distractions, manage screen time, and take control of the apps that interrupt your focus.

Instead of deciding when you can access distracting apps, you decide when you want them blocked.

Set an app block for the time you want, and Block Times automatically restricts access to your selected apps during that period.
 

How to Sign Up

1. Download and open Block Times - App Control

2. Tap Sign Up

3. Enter your email and create a password

4. Grant the required Screen Time permissions

5. Choose whether to enable notifications

6. Review and accept the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy

You’re now ready to create your first app block.

Creating an App Block

1. Select the app or apps you want to block

2. Choose when you want the block to start

3. Choose when you want the block to end

4. Confirm your block

Your selected apps will be restricted during the scheduled block.

You can create additional blocks depending on your plan.

Free users can schedule one app block each day at the time that works best for them.

How App Blocking Works
 

When an app block is active, the apps you selected are restricted for the duration of the block.

For example, you could schedule social media apps to be blocked from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM while you work or study.

When the scheduled block ends, the restriction is removed automatically.

You can create blocks around your own schedule and use them for work, study, sleep, exercise, or any other time when you want fewer distractions.
 

Managing Your App Blocks
 

You can view and manage your scheduled blocks from within the App.

Depending on your plan, you can:

• Create new app blocks

• Choose which apps are blocked

• Set the start and end time

• View upcoming blocks

• Edit or remove scheduled blocks

Premium users can create unlimited app blocks each day.

Q: How does Block Times work?

Q: Is my information private?

We take your privacy seriously. We collect information necessary to provide and improve the App and use third-party services such as Firebase and Meta/Facebook SDKs for services including authentication, analytics, advertising, and marketing measurement.

Q: Why isn't app blocking working?

Please check that:

• Screen Time permissions are enabled

• The required permissions for Block Times are active

• The apps you want to block have been selected

• Your block is currently scheduled and active

• You are using the latest version of Block Times

1. Tap Forgot Password on the login screen

2. Enter your email address

3. Follow the password reset instructions sent to you

Change Email or Account Details

1. Go to Account Settings

2. Update your information

3. Save your changes

Notifications

You can manage reminders and notifications through:

• Block Times settings

• Your iPhone or iPad settings

Delete Account

1. Go to Account Settings

2. Tap Delete Account

3. Confirm deletion

Managing Your Subscription

Subscriptions and purchases are managed through your Apple ID.

To manage your subscription:

1. Open your iPhone or iPad subscription settings

2. Select Block Times - App Control

3. Manage or cancel your subscription

Cancelling a Subscription

For monthly or yearly subscriptions:

1. Open your Apple subscription settings

2. Select Block Times - App Control

3. Choose Cancel Subscription

The lifetime plan is a one-time purchase and does not automatically renew.

Billing Issues

Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store.

For payment, billing, or refund issues, please contact Apple Support.

Troubleshooting
 

App Not Loading

• Check your internet connection

• Close and reopen Block Times

• Restart your iPhone or iPad

• Update Block Times to the latest version

Login Issues

• Check that your email and password are correct

• Use Forgot Password if necessary

• Restart the App

• Make sure you have an active internet connection

Blocking Features Not Working

Check that:

• Screen Time permissions are enabled

• Block Times has the required permissions

• Your selected apps are correctly added

• An active block is currently scheduled

• Your device is running the latest available version of iOS or iPadOS

• Block Times is updated to the latest version
